Padre Santo 06:05
You think that I forgave you A long time ago But I still walk with questions In my mind and in my soul You want me to come and see you But that scares me so much You still me as that little girl And it's true I haven't changed My arms grew so long and I still can't reach you and you can't reach me I just want to know why it's so hard To look my mother in the eye All you do is say goodbye You told me that you love And think about me everyday But what's there to think about I you don't even know me Do you want to see me angry Or don't you want to see me at all I just don't understand Without the truth we will fall Padre nuestro que estás en el cielo Santificado sea tu nombre Venga tu reino Hágase tu voluntad en la tiera y como en el cielo Amen

I see so many pieces of shit Flushed with cash If the means carry the meaning We only work for the end I’m one of the forgotten ones And we’re with the millions If you put your interests first You could never be my friend We’re melting glaciers As a sacrifice to the gods of wealth It never trickles down Plastic bottles We all got our personal space man And there will be an answer Let it be, let it be You’re the shit that’s left All you’re politic-tic-tic-tic-tics are a time bomb The victims, the horses that carry your cart High in the sky You want a rainbow To shine everyday There will be a flood Continuous rain We all know what is good What is true Waiter! Pour me the answers On the rocks Bottom of the bottle Is where I’ll find my piece My truth My right My truth, my right, my truth, my right, my truth, my right my truth, my right my truth, my right My truth We all know what is true What is good What is true What is true Bwuaaargh

about

There have been been trying and tedious times in the making of this EP. Due to the pandemic we needed to pause for a while and started playing our music on acoustic instruments, outdoors and online. This took us out of our comfort zone and is partly the reason for the all acoustic song New Ends, Old Beginnings.

The songs have mostly been written in 2019 and the first months of 2020. When we regained ourselves late 2022 the recordings seemed to be lost and felt like leaving all of these songs behind. We weren't the people who wrote those songs anymore and retrieving them seemed impossible. Nonetheless these songs are close to our heart and we're very happy to have been able to retrieve and finish the recordings. Releasing this EP is a mixed bag of pride, relief and nostalgia. We've learned to leave the old behind and have started writing and making music again as we're used to. Hopefully you'll enjoy our music and are you're doing well after these past years.

Lots of love and all the best,
A Fool's Errand

about

A primarily instrumental post-rock band hailing from the medieval city of ‘s-Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands. Their music is the product of long jam sessions fuelled by curiosity and thus leads to their deliberately explorative sound.
